Laura Dern is an American actress, director, producer, and writer. She was nominated for Academy Award nominations for the films, Rambling Rose (1991) and Wild (2014). She became well known for Jurassic Park (1993), The Fault in our Stars (2014), the HBO series and the Star Wars, etc.

Laura Dern was born in Los Angeles, California on February 10, 1967. Her parents are father Diane Ladd and mother Bruce Dern. Her parents were separated when she was a child. She also had a younger sister named Diane. She did her schooling in The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. She studied for one semester at the University of Southern California. At the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute, she took her acting classes.

Laura Dern Career

Dern at the starting of her career acted in small roles that didn’t bring her any image in films like Lightning (1973) and Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (1974). She 1st got fame in a role as “Debbie” in the teen drama, Foxes (1980). Dern after that did many important roles in films like Teachers (1984) and Mask (1985).
